Troubled Son

October 22, 2009

Just some cool pictures from the Capitol Hill/Downtown area. I really like the skeleton in the first picture, possibly done by Heck. The other three pictures are also pretty cool and I think the grey sperm sticker is by ctrl+z.

Hard Smart Beta

October 7, 2009

These are some cool pictures from kinda all over Seattle. Heck always has cool stickers and I’m not completely positive but I think the second and third pictures are of work done by an artist named Abstract. I also like the “Meat Not Carrots” priority mail sticker.

A cool group of stickers. I didn’t realize that the tree was done by the Bad Fruit artist until I was posting this but I like it.

Juicebox

August 17, 2009

As I was bussing around yesterday this sweet bear caught my  eye. These are done by Karl Addison of Partybots. I love the positioning of this and how it is facing out towards the street. Also some cool stickers on a newspaper box including that face which I have seen a lot, especially in the lower Queen Anne area.

New Tricks

August 15, 2009

These are some pictures from around Seattle. My favorite is definitely the two-headed Baldman sticker by Pioneer Square. It’s the first and so far only two-headed one I’ve seen but I like it a lot. Also I recently found out that the artist who does all of the cool old people and skulls is Team Nerd. If you want to see more pictures of Team Nerd’s art click here.

Occidental

August 12, 2009

Today I went down to Occidental Park in Pioneer Square where the Free Sheep Foundation were finishing up. It was a 24-hour project starting at 3 pm yesterday. NKO covered the truck with words while someone inside the truck dictated Murakami’s A Wild Sheep Chase to him. By the end the truck was covered in writing and some places on it were even black from all the writing. In some of the pictures you can even see the ground below the truck is black from the drippings of the ink.

Post-Spaceman

August 12, 2009

Update of this previous post documenting Post Alley. The spaceman wheatpastes that have been popping up all over the city have now been put up in Post Alley. Also, Post Alley was recently featured in a trailer for the movie ‘Love Happens’, specifically at the 1:57 mark.

Claudius Phaedrus

July 29, 2009

After a lot of searching I finally found the artist who does the cool newspaper street-art.  The artist’s name is Claudius Phaedrus and he has done some really cool work around Seattle. Here are some pictures I took of some art of his done for the restaurant Wann in downtown Seattle.

Also click here to see his Blog or here to see his Flickr.

Kool Thing

July 24, 2009

Just a couple pictures from a while ago. I love the elephant body and the tree is pretty cool. Also, got Kool Thing by Sonic Youth for your musical entertainment. Sonic Youth will be playing at the Capitol Hill Block Party tomorrow night so if you can you should definitely go see them.

Newsworthy

July 11, 2009

One thing that I love about Seattle is the variety of street art that can be found throughout the city. These pictures don’t actually show that much variety but they are still pretty cool. I really like the newspaper girl and the artist who does those.

In case you were wondering the “My name is” looking sticker says Hello in Japanese (Hiragana).
