Hostel Art Collective! Part 16

September 30, 2009

Finally finished. I didn’t mean for this to drag on as long as it did and tomorrow we’ll be back to normal posts. With that said, here are  rooms 42 and 43 of the City Hostel Seattle. Joe Vollan did the second room here but I am not too sure on who did the first.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 15

September 30, 2009

These are rooms 38, 39, 40, and 41 of the City Hostel Seattle. I don’t know to much about these rooms except that Wierdo did the second room and that the fourth room was made as a room for stuff that people leave behind in the Hostel, like books and movies.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 14

September 29, 2009

These are rooms 34, 35, 36, and 37 of the City Hostel Seattle. All of these rooms were really cool and the first two were also really creepy. The first room was done by Chris Sheridan and the second Jeffrey Taylor. I am not sure who did the third room but I do know that Matt Savage did the last one.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 13

September 28, 2009

First off I’d like to say sorry about how many of these posts I’v been putting up. I’m gonna try and finish it up within the next three or four days. Anyways these are rooms 30, 31, 32, and 33 of the City Hostel Seattle. I don’t really like the first room even though that window painting is pretty cool. The second room was one of my favorites. The room was full of cool drawings and I really liked the backwards written note reminding you to wash your face, armpits, genitals and anus. I also like the hot-dog person’s room. I seem to see that artists work at a lot of the free graffiti wall areas like the Great Graffiti Wall of Seattle and TUBS.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 12

September 27, 2009

These are some more really cool rooms of the City Hostel Seattle. I’m not sure who did room 27 but I do know that Carl Faulkner did room 28 and Ego did room 29. I especially like Ego’s room because it looks kind of like it was just drawn on to the walls.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 11

September 26, 2009

These are rooms 24, 25, and 26 of the City Hostel Seattle. They were done in order by Parskid, 179, and Solace who are all really talented artists with their own unique style. I didn’t want to make this a huge post and i left out some pictures but those and more will be on my Flickr.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 10

September 25, 2009

These are room 21, 22, and 23 of the City Hostel Seattle. They were all some of my favorites, especially the anatomy room.

And finally some decently lit rooms.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 9

September 24, 2009

These are pictures of rooms 18, 19, and 20 of the City Hostel Seattle. They are all cool rooms and I especially like the space monkey room. The room shown in the second set of pictures isn’t actually room with beds but more of a dining room/kitchen.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 8

September 23, 2009

These are rooms 16 and 17 of the City Hostel Seattle. The first room was done by Hera and the second, Zachary Bohenkamp. Hera’s room was pretty cool but was kind of shadowed by how cool Zach’s room was. His room was really cool and the writing on the wall is spanish for ‘Last night when sleeping’ also the last picture in this post is of the wall opposite the building.

To see more of Zach’s work you can click here.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 7

September 21, 2009

These are rooms 14 and 15 of the City Seattle Hostel in Belltown. The first room here was done by two artists, Davin and PGee. PGee did the actual room while Davin did the 80’s pop culture bathroom with such favorites as Smurf, Spy vs. Spy, and Kiss. The next room was done by Kyle Lunneborg. I couldn’t get too many good pictures of the room but if you want to see more you can watch this video put up by Upper Playground.

Set Me Free

September 20, 2009

Just taking a break from the series of posts about the Hostel. These pictures have been sitting around on my computer for a while and they are all pretty cool. I’v been seeing a lot more Lattice stickers around lately and all of the usual artists in the first picture are always nice.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 6

September 19, 2009

These are rooms 12 and 13 of the City Seattle Hostel. The first room shows the evolution of man and above that it shows what I interpreted as sign of the apocalypse or something along those lines.  I’m not sure who did either of these rooms but they are pretty cool. The second room is a Dr. Seuss themed room with characters like Horton from Horton Hears a Hoo and the the Lorax from, of course, The Lorax.

Hostel Art Collective! Part 5

September 18, 2009

These are rooms 10 and 11 of the Seattle City Hostel in Belltown. Room 9 was pretty badly lit and I didn’t take many pictures so I though I’d just skip ahead a little. These are two of the coolest rooms in the Hostel and some of my favorites. The first room is by Kim Mccarthy who is in Urban Soule design. It shows a couple sweet Buddhas, one of them, the only picture that I could get was outside the actual room.  John Osgood did the second room which is so cool. There are some more pictures that we will put on our flickr that weren’t really to great quality but you should still check them out.
